Earlier this week I had the opportunity to attend a launch party for Fuji’s newest edition to their Instax family – the Instax Mini 11. When this invite popped into my inbox, I couldn’t believe it! I was so excited to meet others in the industry, experience the new product and just soak it all in.
And last night, that’s exactly what I did. When I arrived to Fuji’s Wonder Photo Shop in the Flatiron District, I was immediately greeted and welcomed in so graciously. Daniel already knew my name and who I had been in contact with over email. He handed me a lanyard, explained the layout of the event space, and ushered me over to the bar to start the evening.
As I sipped on a delicious Pinot Noir, I walked around and took everything in. I spoke with three ladies in Instax t-shirts who showed me all the features of the camera and let me try out the fun and innovative “selfie-mode.” They also took a photo of me because my nails matched the camera, haha so sweet!
I meandered my way and found a photo book with film photos that showcased the difference between the Instax 11 and the Instax 9, as well as other zinc paper cameras. I was blown away and couldn’t wait to hear more about this product! First, I snagged some bites from the caterers who were walking around with mouth watering appetizers like mini vegetable tacos, beef sliders, tuna sushi rolls, and lemon chicken salad bites. Then I checked out the donut themed photo booth, and then it was time for remarks.
The CEO of Fuji North America spoke a little bit about this new chapter and what it means to give more, and then Ashley spoke about the new camera, its features, how it came about, and what it means for Instax’s consumers + society alike. I truly enjoyed listening to what they had to say and learning more about the company.
After remarks, I spoke more to some Instax girls, test played with confetti film (yes, I know…) and then introduced myself to the CEO before saying my goodbyes and heading out.
Of course, Instax couldn’t let me leave without dessert, both literally and figuratively. I snagged two of the most incredible chocolate caramel tartes I’d ever had, but the gift bag they handed to me on the way out was truly the cherry on top.🍒
Thank you SO much to Fuji and Instax for having me, I enjoyed my experience SO much and I can’t wait to be a fan for life. I am beyond excited to start using my Mini 11 and giving in more ways than one!♡
Instax gifted me with attendance to this event and a complimentary Instax Mini 11 but as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
