It’s officially been a year since I started the Favorites series on Coffee with Jordan Lee, and I couldn’t be happier! I am so glad I had the idea to do this last Fall, because it’s so much easier than writing a bunch of individual blog posts, which is especially coming in handy right now because of Grad School. Y’all, I’m so sorry I haven’t been posting as much as I used to.
This year has just been so so different and busy and I honestly don’t have the extra time to blog like I used to. However, I’m still doing it as much as I can because I truly love it and I hope that y’all bear with me! Plus, the holidays are one of my favorite times to blog because there are so many exciting things coming up, and I love posting gift guides, holiday collaborations, etc.! So stay tuned for some exciting things coming up, plus just a lot of me posting about real life.
Without further ado, [because let’s be real – this post is a little later than it should be] I present to you my Fall Favorites, aka, what I’ve been loving fashion, beauty, fitness and music wise this season!
FALL FASHION: I looooveeeee fall fashion probably more than any other season because sweaters and jackets are my absolute favorite type of clothing!! Seriously, every time I go shopping with my mom she says, “A new piece of outerwear is the last thing you need” and I just roll my eyes and buy it because I need it. Leather jackets, cozy sweaters, furry coats, you name it – I need it. Haha, anyway! So that was just to preface what I’m about to post about. This fall I am loving sweaters, coats, and body suits. Like… seriously, I can’t stop buying them.
My favorites right now are this pinkish purple fuzzy coat, [$30, was $22, keep checking back! also currently sold out] this gray cropped teddy coat, [$15, sold out except for S] and this teal colored monogrammed boyfriend sweater! [price varies from $30-$40, teal color currently unavailable!]
I’m truly OBSESSED with all of these, I can’t stop wearing them.
HEALTH AND BEAUTY: This is one I’m super excited about! In the beginning of this semester, I was seeing lots of posts from influencers/celebrities/people I follow alike all about this new all-natural deodorant. I knew that my Secret deodorant was made with aluminum and yet I was still using it all the time. When I heard about Kopari, I wasn’t phased by it – for a bit. Then, I started to listen to what to people were saying about it and read real reviews, and I was intrigued. Apparently it actually worked?! It was also extremely affordable, smelled amazing, and healthy!! I decided to give it a try and ordered a stick online, on the 3 month reoccurring billing cycling, [but I could cancel anytime!]
When my deo arrived, it came with a little instruction note explaining that the next few weeks were going to be a bit rough. I didn’t even think about this, but apparently the body starts to detox after no longer receiving the aluminum, and apparently I would sweat more for few weeks while my body got used to this new deodorant. I was determined to stick with it, and honestly I didn’t notice a huge difference. I just have to reapply it more than I did with Secret, but that’s okay. I have used it every day since I got it and I love it! It smells amazing [coconut – yes please] and it feels great to know what I’m putting on skin and ultimately, in my body!
The second part of this section is just a little something I came across and decided to ~treat myself to! I was at Target the other week and I found a box in the beauty section called “12 Days of Beauty!” It was $19.99 and included 12 beauty products, all described and labeled on the back. I couldn’t help myself! Like, hello, what a steal!! Also, some of the items are mini sized, which is great for me, because I’m not a huge beauty guru by any means, so sometimes I like to just try something a few times and then move on.
This box is also set up in the style of an advent calendar, so each day I get to be surprised when I open that number and see what the product is! It’s the perfect little treat yoself item, but it would also make a great gift for someone in your life!
FITNESS: Okay so I want to make this one short and sweet, because I’m very new to what I’m about to talk about but I wanted to include it because I always want to be transparent about what I’m doing, both to just be open with y’all, and also to inspire ya!! So, as you know, I’m in CHAARG which is a fitness group for girls in college, and it’s been so fun! We try a different workout studio around town each week, participate in small groups, social events, etc. I love it! We also did a “Fall FitPlan” which was a five week program with individual workouts emailed to us each morning, as well as a challenge of the day. It was great, but I didn’t really thrive in it the way I wanted to.
SO, now that the semester is coming to a close, I knew it was time to try something different. I wasn’t motivated anymore, doing workouts on my own or trying to learn the moves/time myself, etc. wasn’t working. I tried BBG, and I really liked that for a while, but the Fall FitPlan kind of interrupted that track.
I follow a lot of people who have posted about a program that’s kind of “On Demand” so I looked into it and after doing some research I decided to dive in. I chose one of the “programs” [but my subscription includes access to all programs] and I did the first workout of the first week. I immediately felt like a new woman. It was INCREDIBLE! The service is available through my Roku TV, and it’s designed to do at home, all you need are dumbbells! [Which I already had bc of the Fall FitPlan!] I couldn’t believe how amazing it was and how great I felt afterward. I can’t wait to complete the rest of the six week plan! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me, I love talking all things fitness!
MUSIC: Okay and just for good measure, I usually include this section because music is such a huge part of my life and I love sharing! If you don’t already follow me on Spotify, [@jordannnleee] DO so because I have nine million playlists perfect for any occasion. Right now I’m loving my playlist called “mood” which is just a bunch of really good songs, perfect for driving, or homework, or you name it. My favorite song right now is Whole Heart, by Gryffin and Bipolar Sunshine. My boyfriend introduced me to it, and I used Spotify’s tools to build the rest of the playlist around that type of song. Go listen to it!! Also, the Greatest Showman Reimagined came out and it’s not as wildly amazing as I had been expecting, but I think I’m just so attached to the original. However, the opening number by Panic! At the Disco is A M A Z I N G, and the final song but Zac Brown Band is flawless. Go listen + enjoy!
I guess that’s about it for Fall! I hope some of these things spoke to you!! Comment below what you liked, any questions you have, and/or what categories you’d like to see for Winter Favorites, which will be here before we know it!
