My friend from college and sweet sorority sister, Elsie, has started a small business called Klae Design Co. with her friend Ariel! They are designing, creating and shipping out handmade one-of-a-kind earrings! I was truly in awe when Elsie started showing me some of their creations, and I was absolutely floored when she told me they were interested in designing a pair for me and naming it after me….!!! To be honest, I’m probably still not over it, as it’s the coolest thing anyone has ever done for me, haha, but I digress… In this post, I wanted to share a little bit more with y’all about Klae Design Co. and of course, show off the Jordan earrings 🙂
KLAE DESIGN FUN FACTS
EVERYTHING IS HANDMADE. Elsie told me that they design and make every single piece by hand. They hand roll, hand mix colors, and cut and assemble everything by hand!
ALL KLAE DESIGN CO. EARRINGS ARE EXTREMELY LIGHTWEIGHT! This is so good to know and so important! When I received my earrings in the mail I was shocked by how light they felt!

CLAY EARRING ARE A LITTLE MORE FRAGILE THAN MOST. So just be aware of this fact and don’t toss earrings into your purse, or leave them in your hot car!
THE JORDAN
When Elsie first reached out, she explained that they’d love to create a pair for me and name it after me, and asked what shape I was interested in. I had seen a couple of the pairs they had already designed [all of them stunning!] but when she mentioned they could do stars, I was sold! I am such a star person and I just knew those would be perfect for me! Elsie told me she knew I was going to say stars too, haha, and then went on to suggest how about black with sparkles? I was IN LOVE and she hadn’t even made them yet!
The whole process was extremely cool to watch/experience. She showed me the clay stars once they had been painted, along with some other shapes and colors they had made, and then she told me that they made the stars in two different sizes and she would show me once they were out of the oven!
Once they were assembled she sent a pic and I was immediately obsessed. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. They were just so me! Once they arrived in the mail, it was love at first sight and the rest is history. Elsie also sent me a pair of the Madi in peach passion, and they are absolutely gorgeous! The packaging, the sweet note, and everything else Elsie and Ariel are doing when they send out earrings are truly amazing! They are killing it and I can’t wait to watch Klae Design Co. grow and grow!
