A few months ago, Y’our Skincare reached out to me. I loved the idea of personalized skincare, and was so excited to try the products. Below I will talk a bit about my experience, including the process of receiving the right ingredients for me as well as using the products and my results.

The first step was to take their skincare quiz. I answered many questions about my skin, including the environment of where I live, specific skin issues I have, etc. Then, the brand shared my results with me. They told me my biggest concerns were acne and redness, which sounded correct to me! My quiz results also informed me about what ingredients would be in my products: Vitamin A for Anti-Acne, Red Tea for Anti-Redness and Vitamin B3 for Strengthening.

When the products arrived, I was in love! The packaging was so cute and easy to use. All the products came in a box that had almost a drawer-like function. It also came with a card with helpful instructions regarding the four step process.
First up, the cleanser. This product is meant to help smooth complexion and clear acne. I really enjoy using it. It’s almost a gel-like formula. Y’our suggests sudsing it up a bit in your hands before applying, and I really like it. It also smells lovely, and I’m a big sucker for a scented skincare product. It’s also a GREAT size cleanser, a little goes a long way.

Second is the day cream. This product offers lasting hydration and skin protection. It’s a very SPF-heavy product, so truthfully I have not been using it each and every day. (Especially during quarantine and this WFH period!) However, on days when I know I will going outside, it’s a lightweight and fast-drying formula that I can throw on, knowing I’m doing something good for my skin.
Switching to the nighttime ritual, after cleansing again, I use the serum. This product has the red tea in it, so it’s meant to help remove redness and prevent acne. I REALLY like this serum. I love its texture, its scent, and the way it applies + absorbs into my skin. The only thing I will say is that I really wish it was a bigger size. The bottle was not completely full to begin with, and I definitely will not get a full three months out of it, but overall, I loved it.

Lastly, I use night cream. Hands down, my favorite product of them all. I LOVE this stuff. Not only does it smell incredible, but it’s the PERFECT weight. It’s a little on the heavier side, but that’s just because it’s doing its job, which is to fight acne and nourish the skin. The full description of this product is: “Not getting enough sleep can take a toll on your skin. This luxurious cream has nourishing properties to retain moisture, stimulate cell growth and rejuvenate your skin all night. Infused with vitamins and antioxidants, it speeds up acne healing process, strengthens skin’s natural barrier protection, and defends against environmental toxins.” As I mentioned, it is a little thick and heavy, so I like to dot it on my face first and then rub it in with my Artis brush.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed using Y’our Skincare’s three month supply of product that was personalized just for me. I will say that I still included many of my staple items in my ritual. As much as I was drawn in by the idea that it was an easy 4 step process, both my morning and nighttime skincare rituals both continued to have about 5+ steps each. But that’s okay. I was just glad the products worked well in tandem with my others. (I also did only use the Y’our products a few nights here and there, and I did not majorly break out, so I probably could have trained my skin to only use the four, but I am a huge skincare gal and I have a lot of tried + true products that I will never part with!)
Thank you so much, Y’our for partnering with me for this post! Also, y’all, I wanted to share that the brand also sent me a very nice and thick cloth face mask with my order back in April, when we were knee-deep in the middle of COVID-19, which speaks a lot to their values and how much they care about their customers. I also appreciated that the brand was willing to let me postpone going live when I was planed to, due to me wanting to honor the BLM movement by not posting on social media from June 1st-June 7th.
Please let me know if you have any questions about Y’our Skincare and please watch my IGTV to see the products in action! ♡
Y’our Skincare gifted me with a free three-month supply of products, but as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
